The Phantom Menace was released on DVD in 2001, two years after it's theatrical release and one year after the VHS release. It was released as a 2-disc set in both Widescreen and Pan & Scan format (the bonus disc is the same for both sets, and plays Anamorphic Widescreen whenever possible). The set also came with an insert explaining how to access the supplemental material on the bonus disc, as well as a list of chapter titles.
